Mindful Empowerment: Making Mindful and Embodied Choices
Mindful Empowerment: Making Mindful and Embodied Choices is a 5-part series of themed yin yoga classes based on the book “Turn Stress Into Bliss”, by one of my teachers, Michael Lee. In each unit, you will be guided to experience yin postures, breathwork, mindfulness, and journaling. The intention of the course is to help you become more knowledgeable of yourself which in turn will help you make choices from a more mindful and embodied place.
Your Teacher
Cristina holds a Masters Degree in Counseling. She worked as a Secondary School Counselor for the first twelve years of her career. Her experience working in mental health and witnessing the physical manifestations of stress amongst her clients led her to want to learn more about the mind-body connection. As a result, in 2018 she obtained a 600-hr certification as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist as well as a 200-hr certification as a Therapeutic Yoga Teacher. She believes that through therapeutic yoga, people can discover answers they seek to questions in their lives – all by looking within themselves and becoming more aware of their bodies, thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
